Washington Senior University is the first American university for seniors. The aim of the University is to promote an education and activity center for Taiwanese seniors over the age of 55. Not only does the University provide basic classes like English and Computer Technology, it includes culture courses like Dance, Exercise, Choir, Flower Art, Chinese Painting, and Chinese Knotting Arts. Class is held twice a week, provided with a nutritious and healthy luncheon. Every so often, field trips are planned. These trips include trips to Taiwan, Canada, or anywhere. The staff at the University is loving and experienced. Washington Senior University provides an opportunity to meet other seniors of the community and keep their spirits alive with fun and excitement.
